Kim Vu ignites entrepreneurial passion in the younger generation through our practical experience as a judge at startup competitions.

With a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the entrepreneurial journey, combined with practical experience from our own business ventures, Kim Vu has become a dedicated companion to the younger generation, fueling their burgeoning business passions.
This is clearly demonstrated through Kim Vu’s enthusiastic role as a judge at various start-up events, represented by Ms. Tran Hoang Kim Ngan (Deputy Director of Kim Vu Fabric).

Spring DECA 2025: Affirming the sharp business acumen of high school students

One of Kim Vu’s notable contributions was our role as a judge at the Spring DECA 2025 event. The program was exceptionally dynamic, leaving a lasting impression with outstanding performances from students from leading high schools such as CIS (Canadian International School), EIS (European International School), AIS (Australian International School), ABCIS (British Vietnamese International School), ISHCMC (International School Ho Chi Minh City), SSIS (Saigon South International School), PTNK (High School for the Gifted), RISS (Renaissance International School Saigon), and VAS (Vietnam Australia International School).

What was truly admirable was the clear thinking, solid expertise, and deep understanding of the Vietnamese business environment displayed by these young contestants. They convincingly demonstrated their talent and relentless efforts.

The program was organized by DECA, a non-profit educational organization that has made significant contributions to guiding students in essential skills and career orientation. With over 224,000 members across 50 U.S. states and many other developed countries such as Canada, China, Germany, Poland, Guam, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Spain, DECA is recognized as a large-scale and internationally reputable organization, contributing to the development of future leaders.

Deeply impressed by student creativity at Van Lang University’s startup conference

Beyond our role as a judge at Spring DECA 2025, Kim Vu also has a special connection with young aspiring entrepreneurs at Van Lang University.

This activity took place within the teaching framework of Master Ngo Thi Hong (Lecturer in Garment Technology at Vocational College II, Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at Van Lang University).

In our capacity as a judge, Kim Vu was particularly impressed and highly appreciated the explosive creativity, burning enthusiasm, critical thinking, and sharp sensitivity to business issues demonstrated by the students. It wasn’t just Kim Vu’s observation; the professional quality and groundbreaking nature of many projects frequently received high praise and consensus from other judges. These are truly brilliant demonstrations, affirming the increasing emphasis on educational quality and the limitless development potential of Vietnam’s younger generation, who are ready to shape the future.

Sharing experience, receiving enthusiasm: A mission of companionship and continuous learning from the younger generation

The main motivation driving Kim Vu to dedicate significant effort to supporting young start-ups stems from a sincere desire: “to give back.” Kim Vu understands clearly that the entrepreneurial journey is fraught with countless challenges, from idea formation, finding partners, and raising capital to operations and scaling.

Drawing from our own experiences, Kim Vu provides practical perspectives and strategic advice, helping young people better define their path forward and avoid unnecessary risks. Interestingly, in this journey of sharing, Kim Vu also finds abundant energy from the creativity, enthusiasm, and fearless spirit of the young individuals mentors.

Kim Vu Fabric officially launches the old clothing regeneration project: A journey to create circular fashion

The rapid rise of fast fashion has led to alarming environmental consequences. This trend encourages consumers to shop frequently, driving mass production and rapid disposal of clothing. Tons of discarded apparel end up in landfills or pollute ecosystems, contaminating soil, water, and air. The striking image of the “world’s clothing dump” in Accra, Ghana, receiving 15 million discarded garments weekly, serves as a wake-up call to the destructive impact of fast fashion.
